
Ludhiana, June 4 As many as 1133 youth secured employment opportunities during a Mega Job Fair organized on Thursday by the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) in collaboration with the district administration, the department of Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training, Punjab, and the department of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab.
A total of 43 companies participated in the recruitment drive, shortlisting 2081 candidates from among 4271 registered job seekers.
The fair was organized with the objective of promoting employment generation and strengthening industry-workforce linkages, the job fair served as an important platform for interaction between employers and job seekers, enabling direct engagement between industries and candidates from diverse educational and professional backgrounds.
A total of 43 companies representing various sectors participated in the employment drive, offering a wide range of opportunities to aspiring candidates.
The organizers stated that the primary objective of the job fair was to support employment generation, enhance access to skilled manpower for industries, and provide youth with meaningful career opportunities. The participation and placement figures underscore the effectiveness of collaborative initiatives in connecting job seekers with prospective employers.
